Migrate Shopify Customers to NetSuite

The sample project featured in this article has preconfigured ports for migrating data from the "customers" table in Shopify to its corresponding "customer" table in NetSuite.

The project comes with built-in templates for retrieving Shopify customers and inserting them into your NetSuite account, as well as an XMLMap port that will transform data from Shopify customers to a valid NetSuite customer that is ready to be inserted into NetSuite.

The ports are configured to automatically move files from one port to next until customers are added to NetSuite.

The XMLMap port and NetSuite port are preconfigured to operate automatically. You can schedule the application to poll Shopify for new records from the port's settings page, or manually process the files using the Receive tab of Shopify port.

In order to configure the example please follow the following Steps:

  1. Go to Flows tab and click the Import Workspace button. In the dialog that appears, choose the file MigrateShopifyCustomersToNetSuite.zip to import the project´┐Żs settings and port configurations.

  2. After you have imported the sample, start by selecting the Shopify port and navigate to the Settings tab. If you have not already installed the Shopify port, the application will prompt you to install it.

  3. In Settings, to connect to your Shopify account enter your App Id, Password and Shop URL. After setting these credentials, click the Test Connection button to verify that you can connect to your Shopify Account from RSSBus Connect.

  4. Next, open NetSuite port and navigate to the Settings tab. If you have not already installed the NetSuite port, the application will prompt you to install it.

  5. To connect to your NetSuite account, enter your Account Id, User, and Password. After setting these credentials, click the Test Connection button to verify that you can connect to your NetSuite Account from RSSBus Connect.

  6. To execute the sample, navigate to the Output tab of the Shopify port and click the Receive button to begin retrieving customer data from Shopify.
