AS4 Messaging

The AS4 Port gives RSSBus Connect the ability to send and receive data using the AS4 protocol. AS4 is an emerging B2B messaging standard for EDI message transfer of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages. Similar to AS2, AS4 is designed to connect, deliver, validate, acknowledge, and securely transmit data across the Internet.

SFTP File Transfer

SFTP is a secure file transfer protocol preferred by IT professionals worldwide for its straightforward configuration and strong security. Unlike FTP, SFTP uses a single connection port for easy firewall navigation, password and public key authentication, and strong data encryption. The SFTP Port of RSSBus Connect is a full-featured SFTP client enabling authentication and secure file transfer with SFTP-ready servers.

Secure Odette FTP (OFTP) V2 Messaging

OFTP2 is a secure managed file transfer protocol that is used predominantly in the automotive industry for the secure exchange of critical automotive data across the Internet. The OFTP2 specification is developed and maintained by the Odette OFTP2 Experts Group and supports critical messaging features like message encryption, authentication, and non-repudiation. The OFTP Port of RSSBus Connect is a full-featured OFTP2 implementation that has been tested certified interoperable by Odette.

FTP File Transfer

The RSSBus Connect FTP Port uses either plain-text FTP or SSL-enabled FTPS to transfer files to and from FTP servers. Simply provide the FTP Port with server and authentication details and RSSBus Connect will manage automated file transfers with remote FTP servers.

SCP Secure Transfer

Similar to SFTP, SCP is a secure file transfer protocol that can be used to transfer files to, and from, SSH servers. The SCP Port uses the Secure Copy Protocol (SCP) to move files between RSSBus Connect and remote SSH servers.

OpenPGP Encryption/Decryption

The OpenPGP port can encrypt and sign or decrypt and verify messages. The port supports many encryption algorithms including CAST5, 3DES, AES256, AES192, AES128, IDEA, Twofish, and Blowfish. It also support various signing algorithms such as SHA1, MD5, RIPEMD160, SHA256, SHA384, SHA512, and SHA224.

RosettaNet (RNIF) Communication

RosettaNet is a group of leading technology companies that have created and implemented a common set of nonproprietary, XML-based, e-business standards. The RNIF Port enables the execution of business transactions between RosettaNet trading partners. The RNIF Port implements the transport, packaging, and routing of messages and signals as defined in the RosettaNet Implementation Framework versions 1.1 and 2.0.

EDIFACT Translation

UN/EDIFACT (Electronic Data Interchange For Administration, Commerce and Transport) is a standard way to describe information and is the international standard for electronic data interchange. Common message types include Invoices, packing slips, acknowledgements etc. and new message types are constantly evolving.

The EDIFACT port can process EDIFACT formatted files to and from XML. The port can automatically generate and process acknowledgments, validate EDI party agreement settings, and log processing statuses to the transaction log.

X12 Translation

ASC X12 (Accredited Standards Committee X12) is the U.S. national standards body for the development and maintenance of EDI standards. ASC X12 sponsors a growing collection of X12 schemas for health care, insurance, government, transportation, finance, and more.

The X12 port can process X12 formatted files to and from XML. The port can automatically generate and process acknowledgments, validate EDI party agreement settings, and log processing statuses to the transaction log.

SAP IDoc Messaging

SAP IDoc is a popular EDI message format used to exchange messages between applications and popular SAP business systems. IDoc message types exists for different transaction types including purchase orders, quotes, invoices, etc.

RSSBus Connect can be configured as an EDI subsystem for messaging with partners. The IDoc port can send, receive, and process IDoc or XML IDoc messages through inbound and outbound information flow.

RSSBus Connect includes the ability to connect to a wide variety of data sources. Many of these sources are implemented as native ports, which mean that RSSBus Connect has implemented techniques and optimizations specific to these sources. Additionally, RSSBus Connect has implemented ports to use the general-purpose ODBC, JDBC, and ADO.NET standards to access data sources beyond the list of included ports.

By providing general-purpose driver connectivity options, RSSBus Connect customers can connect to many different data sources without the need to request custom engineering. Configure RSSBus Connect to read & write data from any standard ODBC, JDBC, or ADO.NET driver.

Excel Templates

Excel spreadsheets are the preferred tool for data presentation for many business users. The Excel ports can be used to convert data in XML format into a custom formatted Excel spreadsheet, and to convert Excel spreadsheet data into XML for processing.

Excel generation is extremely easy to setup and configure. Users pre-configure a standard Excel file as a template that defines layout and formatting information. The Excel port then processes incoming XML and maps that data to output Excel documents. This powerful feature makes it easy to automate the transformation of EDI documents and messages into professional looking human-readable invoices, purchase orders, sales receipts, etc.

Excel to XML processing is similarly straightforward. The Excel port can be configured to monitor an incoming directory for Excel files. When a new Excel file is moved to the incoming directory, the Excel port will extract a predefined set of information from the Excel spreadsheet and output XML.
