Establishing a Connection

Connecting to a data source from the Server Explorer is straightforward. Right-click the "Data Connections" node and and select "Add Connection..." In the "Choose Data Source" window, select the RSSBus ADO.NET Provider for Amazon SimpleDB adapter.

A wizard appears, listing all the Data Providers currently installed on the machine. Select the RSSBus ADO.NET Provider for Amazon SimpleDB and click OK.

In the configuration window for the data source, you can set properties as described below.

The SecretKey and AccessKey properties, under the Authentication section, must be set to valid Amazon SimpleDB account credentials. Using Server Explorer can also help with creating data sources that can later be used directly in your project.
