Working with the new Amazon SimpleDB ADO.NET Data Provider is easy. As a fully-managed .NET Data Provider, the SimpleDB provider integrates seamlessly with the Visual Studio development environment as well as any .NET application.

 

Visual Studio Integration - Server Explorer

As an ADO.NET Data Provider, Amazon SimpleDB ADO.NET Data Provider can be used to access and explore SimpleDB data directly from the Visual Studio Server Explorer.


It's easy. As a standard ADO.NET adapter developers can connect the Server Explorer to Amazon SimpleDB ADO.NET Data Provider just like connecting to any standard database.

  1. Add a new Data Connection from the server explorer and select the SimpleDB Data Source

  1. Configure the basic connection properties to access your SimpleDB account data.

Explore all of the data available! Amazon SimpleDB ADO.NET Data Provider makes it easy to access live SimpleDB data from Visual Studio.

  1. After configuring the connection explore the feeds, views, and services provided by the SimpleDB Data Source.
